Among the pieces on display in the Cultural Awareness Center were signs and artwork representing segregation and the Jim Crow laws of the South.

Cover artwork for the children's book, "Little Black Sambo." After its publication, the word 'Sambo' was deemed a racial slur in some countries. The book itself has undergone significant revision since its original publication.
